Two things that I find very interesting about my previous blog’s is how as a class we were told to post on other peoples blog’s and comment on them, and how we were to talk about how can human thought be replicated by a machine. The more I think about these two things the more I come to realize that computers really can replicate human thought. The reason I say this is because we as a class have posted things on peoples walls, and we as a class have taught our computer to remember and post our thoughts on others walls. This whole idea boggles my mind, but the fact of the matter is, is that as soon as we posted things on others wall, and clicked save on the website we have just thought the computer to remember us and to replicate our ideas as the computers own. What I mean by this is that when I go to view what I posted I expect that post to be there. I have trained the computer to remember me. I have given the computer my thoughts and ideas and have imputed them in the brain of that computer and so, that computer really is replicating my (human) thoughts and ideas through a machine. So interesting! I have come to realize within this class that nothing on the computer is really safe, because as long as you put things on the internet the computer will remember you. The things that one posts on blog’s is then remembered by the computer and then can be viewed by anyone is they are savvy enough to find out how to read it. I know that some sites are blocked by privacy, but really nothing is private when good computer people know how to get past all of that privacy stuff. So, in fact, is anything safe on the computer? No, because the data we have imputed into it is remembered and replicated and shown to people across the world. Are computers really safe? Not really, because the thoughts and ideas that we have put into them are probably being used by others, just because they were savvy enough to look at your pictures, or blogs and because of the computer able to replicate them in any way they chose. WOW! Ok, well, this is something I have really learned this semester in this class, and you know what the really funny thing is? Is that I have just taught the computer right now to remember my thoughts and ideas because I just put them onto this blog. Interesting!
